Our aim is that 1 in 10 of all London’s journeys are cycled by 2030. Safe cycle infrastructure is key to achieving this, and we know what works from other countries. Here’s what we want to see rolled out across London.
PROTECTED CYCLE LANES
A network of protected cycle tracks is the difference between cities where most people cycle, and those where most don’t. London has tripled its km of protected cycle lanes since 2000.
Find out moreLOW TRAFFIC NEIGHBOURHOODS
Get rid of cut-through motor traffic in residential areas and what happens? Communities thrive, people walk and cycle more, and drive less.
Find out moreSAFER JUNCTIONS
The majority of serious and fatal cycling collisions happen at junctions. Fix these, and the whole network becomes much safer and it becomes possible to cycle across the city.
Find out moreSAFER LORRIES
Lorries drive just 4% of vehicle miles in London but are involved in over half of fatal collisions with cyclists. We campaign to design out danger.
Find out moreFAIR ROAD LAWS
We campaign for safer speed limits and changes to the Highway Code, and enforcement to make sure these laws are followed.

Our webinars and reports covering wider asks and work on developing thinking, policy and best practice around active travel.

We've achieved a lot in the past few years, but there's so much more to do. In cities like Amsterdam 36% of all journeys are made by bike. As a charity, our 12,000+ members across London make our work possible. We can't campaign without your support.
