3-day, young community ride Leader and ebike course: hosted by Let’s Go Southall

Are you aged 16+ and living or studying in Southall? Learn how to marshal, plan and lead group cycle rides with a FREE in-person ride training course, then develop a friendly family group ride for a special occasion this February.
Plus get FREE LCC membership* for 12 months!
This course will be delivered using Voi hired ebikes and will include a module on ebike skills and risks and an introduction to careers in the Share Bike industry.
It will culminate in the participants hosting, designing and leading a community bike ride to a place and route of the group’s choosing. You will be able to invite family or friends to join us on the community ride.
DATES: Thursday 19th February, Friday 20th February, Saturday 21st February (February half-term)
TIME: 10am-2pm
PLACE: meet at Let’s Go Southall
WHO: Participants must be aged 16+, those under 18 must have a responsible adult also taking part.
We have funding to train up to 15 ride marshals and leaders on this three-day course, You’ll work with experienced trainers to gain and practice new skills, and then develop them further by planning and leading your own family-friendly group ride!
WHAT YOU NEED:
You need to be able to cycle, and you’ll need to bring warm/waterproof clothing. Bikes will be provided for free, as will lunch.
Ideally, you’ll want to use this training to help run other cycling activities in the future, either with your friends and family or with a community organisation (and boost your CV!).
