Camden Cyclists’ Ride to Richmond Park

Sunday May 18 2025 @ 2:00 pm

An afternoon ride, led by James Brander. About 25 miles. Outbound we go through Battersea Park and Falcon Park, using some less known cycle ways north of Wandsworth and south of Putney. We approach the park through the Danbury Estate in Roehampton, where the tower blocks are on stilts. Tea stop in Richmond Park or bring your own.

Our return will likely be via Barnes Common, Hammersmith Bridge (now reopened to cyclist and pedestrians), then through the former pottery area of Notting Hill, Portobello Rd, bits of Cycleway 27 and round the Outer Circle of Regent’s Park.

Early releases are possible at Clapham Junction and Putney stations on the way out, and Richmond, Barnes and Barnes Bridge on the return. Back to the Town Hall by 6 pm.

Booking is required (click RSVP below). Children are welcome but must be accompanied by an adult. Please make sure your bike is in good condition, bring a spare inner tube, and plenty of water!

Meet James Brander outside the Camden Town Hall on Judd Street at 1:45 for a 2:00 pm start. Contact: James Brander: 07778 085 752‬, jbrander47@gmail.com. Please let James know if you have booked but have to cancel.
