Camden Feeder Ride for LCC Women’s Network Freedom Ride

Join us for a friendly, marshalled feeder ride from Camden to the LCC Women’s Network Freedom Ride 2026 โ a celebration of women on bikes taking to the streets of London together. This ride is for women and their allies, with a welcoming pace and a team of (mainly women) marshals to keep everyone safe.
We’ll roll out from Camden, scoop people up along the way, and arrive at the National Theatre in time for the main event. After the ride, we’ll picnic together on the Strand before heading home as a group.
Bikes to borrow! We have 4 bikes at Talacre Gardens and 6 at Cleveland Street โ see ticket options below.
The route out ๐ฒ
Hop on wherever suits you best โ we’ll pick you up at any of these three meeting points:
- 10:20 am โ Talacre Gardens (depart 10:30 am)
- 10:30 am โ Chalk Farm Bridge (depart 10:40 am)
- 10:50 am โ 30 Cleveland Street (depart 11:00 am)
- 11:30 am โ Arrive at the National Theatre to join the main ride
The main ride is roughly 7km and finishes on the Strand at 1pm.
Picnic & return ๐งบ
The main ride wraps up on the Strand at 1pm, and we’ll picnic together until 2:30pm (or 90 minutes after the main ride finishes, whichever is later). Then we’ll head home as a group, arriving back at Cleveland Street ~3:00pm, Chalk Farm Bridge ~3:20pm, and Talacre Gardens ~3:30pm.
Ride length & pace
Total ride length (including feeder and main ride) will be about 23km altogether from Talacre Gardens or Chalk Farm Bridge, or 14 km from Cleveland Street. We’ll go at a gentle pace and the ride is fully marshalled โ suitable for beginners plus, just check you’re comfortable with the overall distance.
Accessibility
There’s one point between Chalk Farm Bridge and Cleveland Street where we’ll need to dismount and walk across the footbridge over the canal at the north of Regent’s Park (by St Mark’s Square).
If you’re borrowing a bike
Please arrive 20 minutes before departure so we can set the bike up for you, and register using the “Borrowing a bike” ticket type below. Bring your own helmet if you’d like to wear one โ or email suzanne@camdencyclists.org.uk to borrow one.
What to bring
- ๐ฅช A picnic to enjoy together before heading home (important!)
- ๐ง Water to stay hydrated
- ๐ถ๏ธ Sunglasses and sunscreen if it’s hot
- ๐ A lock, if possible, if you’re bringing your own bike
- โ๏ธ A helmet, if you would like to wear one
Dress for Freedom to Ride โจ
This is a joyful, colourful celebration of women on bikes โ so dress for the occasion! Wear something bright, design a banner, decorate your bike, and be as colourful as you like. The bolder, the better.
Children & carers
Children are very welcome but remain the responsibility of their carers throughout the ride.
