Sunday 2nd March we will ride another of our signature style of route – parkland and other green spaces connected by side streets and with some waterway to cycle alongside. It is a 21 mile loop from Queens Gardens that uses parks to reach South Norwood Country Park and then Crystal Palace Park and Dulwich Park. More green spaces follow before our lunch break in Crofton Park (not itself a park 😉). Afterward we return on Waterlink Way from Ladywell Fields back to Croydon.
The ride has some climb, most of it being to the top of Crystal Palace Park from Penge. We will take a route to that park which avoids the traffic in Anerley.
We will set off from Queens Gardens CR0 1GY at 10am. There is at most 200 minutes of cycling , so with lunch included we should be back there at 2:20pm.
Please bring a spare inner tube. We will lunch indoors so bring your bike lock.
