Croydon to Dulwich, Burgess Park, Westminster, Brompton, Battersea

Our ride on Sunday 23rd November starts in Croydon and goes north through parks to Westminster and the Thames Path and ends at Clapham Junction station. Lunch in Burgess Park’s Stomping Grounds cafe.
The first big park on our ride is Crystal Palace followed by Dulwich Park and Brockwell Park on the way to Burgess Park. Easy streets join them. After lunch we meet Kennington Park then cross Vauxhall Bridge on its segregated cycle path and swing round buck house to reach Hyde Park. All the way through and on to Holland Park when we head south and ride slowly through the strikingly atmospheric Brompton Cemetery to take in its mausoleums and monuments. Then crossing Albert Bridge to ride around Battersea Park and finally on the Thames Path and the brief side street way to Clapham Junction station.
The whole ride is paved so road bikes are fine, best even. This is a 29 mile ride. We climb over Crystal Palace Park and that is our only climb of any significance.
Starts at 10am in Queens Gardens CR0 1GY.
Bring lights. Layer up if it will be cold, gloves a good idea. Please bring a spare inner tube.
