Croydon, Wandle Trail, Richmond Park, Pembroke Lodge, Barnes, Thames Path, Battersea Park, Victoria Station

A ride on the Wandle Trail visiting Carshalton Ponds and Morden Hall Park among other parks before the big one, Richmond Park, where we lunch in Pembroke Lodge, whose cafe has two tea rooms and outdoor tables. After lunch we continue to cross Richmond Park to Barnes and the Thames Park to Battersea Park. Then across the river to Victoria Station where the ride ends.
The ride is about 80% off road (a guesstimate) and the only climb, in Richmond Park, is not particularly trying. After lunch it is nearly all downhill through the rest of Richmond Park and that’s the last of the climb.
The ride is 28 miles. A road bike can handle it all if it can handle the Wandle Trail (its surface is smooth but bumpy in parts).
We start in Queens Gardens CR0 1GY at 10am. Lunch is halfway around, at about 12:30. Arrive Victoria about 3:30pm.
Please bring a spare inner tube. Our rides are for over 16s only.
