A short 7Km ( less than an hour) family orientated group ride, for “little legs” to the Wray Crescent Festival
The festival will host music, arts, sports for kids, fairground games, bouncy castle, the famed kids v. parents tug of war, hot drinks, and stalls selling flowers, gifts, food, and loads of community groups:
Islington Libraries will host workshops for kids. Cycle Islington, JoyRiders, Energy Advice,
Brickworks community centre, Home Start Islington, LBTQIA Switchboard and others will all host stalls at the festival.
You’ll also get to take a look at the slightly expanded Wray Crescent History Exhibition and kids will love exploring the Blue Watch fire engine which will show up, assuming it isn’t needed elsewhere.
Cycle Islington’s stall , will answer questions and give cycling advice for the borough ( and suggested routes home 😉
We welcome suggestions about cycling in Islington ( and beyond) with our big Islington map, where you can add comments, which we will collate and present to the council.
Starting at Highbury Fields, (at the Southern end, near the Boer War Memorial,) where we will be joined by JoyRiders. We’ll cycle via Paradise Park, Caledonian Park, Tufnell Park, Whittington Park, to Wray Crerscent ( between Horsey and Stroud Green Roads) using predominantly back streets and cycle routes.
