Ride across South London, exploring some green spaces in their autumn colours. The ride is approx. 39km/24.5 miles, with only a couple of small hills.
Please note that the ride will finish at Paddington Station, where you can take the Elizabeth Line back to Ealing, or ride home independently.
Meet outside Ealing Town Hall from 9.45am for a 10am departure.
We ride via Kew Bridge through Chiswick, Hammersmith, and Fulham with a brief pause in Bishop’s Park. Continuing on, we cross the river at Wandsworth Bridge and make our way to Clapham Common. We ride across the Common, turning north to reach Battersea Park.
We will have our lunch stop at Battersea Park, where the Pear Tree Café offers a limited range of food https://www.peartreecafe.co.uk/battersea-park; there is also a kiosk selling sandwiches & hot drinks, or you could bring your own food for a picnic lunch.
Our return ride takes us along the riverside, through the new developments around Battersea Power Station, and then back to Vauxhall Bridge. We ride through the Royal Parks to finish at Paddington Station.
We expect to reach Paddington by 3pm-3.30pm. Remember to bring your lights for your onward journey.
