Ealing Cycling Campaign Leisurely Ride: Maidenhead to Ealing via Windsor

June 2 @ 10:00 am

This is a train assisted ride. Meet at Ealing Broadway Station on the westbound platform, in time to
take the 10:23 Elizabeth Line service from Ealing Broadway to Maidenhead.

Please note: Freedom Passes are valid to Maidenhead, but Oyster cards are not valid beyond West Drayton, so you will have to pay for the entire journey using contactless (i.e. bank card or phone payment system).

On arriving at Maidenhead, we will follow National Cycle Route 4 (mainly off road, more or less beside the River Thames), and reach Windsor for a lunch stop.

After lunch, we ride on through Eton and use paths through Upton Court Park and Ditton Park, then quiet roads through Harmondsworth, Harlington and Cranford, reaching Norwood Green and the Grand Union Canal in Hanwell, returning to Ealing by approx 4pm.

This is a ride of approx. 42km/ 26 miles, the only hills being a few bridges over motorways.
