Meet at Ealing Broadway Station on the westbound platform from 09.15am, in time for the 09.26am train, arriving at Twyford at 09.55am.
This is a train-assisted ride out into the countryside, for those who want to challenge themselves to ride a bit faster and tackle some climbs.
Please note: If you use Oyster or 60+, these are valid only as far as West Drayton, and you will need to buy an additional ticket for the rest of the journey; in which case, please obtain your tickets in advance. Otherwise, contactless (i.e. bank card or phone payment system) can be used for the whole journey. For those who are old enough, Freedom Passes are valid for the entire journey.
After a short coffee/breakfast stop, the ride will go at a “slightly speedier” pace (average 17-20 kph), over some rolling hills on the edge of the Chilterns. The ride is a distance of approx. 32km/20 miles.
We will reach Taplow in time for lunch at the Lake House Café.
We will return to Ealing by the Elizabeth Line from Taplow, or there is the option of riding back to Ealing for those feeling more energetic.
