Ford RideLondon FreeCycle is the ultimate ride for cyclists of all ages, abilities and backgrounds. Set on a traffic-free route, the event is a unique opportunity to explore central London by bike – and it’s completely free!

Join our Led Rides to and from the event

If you’re taking part in Ford RideLondon FreeCycle and live in one of the 32 London boroughs, why not join a free Led Ride from London Cycling Campaign to safely guide you to and from the event? To join your feeder ride, register in advance as a Freecycle participant and select the feeder ride option when prompted. Our volunteer cycle groups will also lead you safely home again at the end of the event if you wish.

The marshalled feeder ride from Haringey will meet at 9am just south of Turnpike Lane station on the corner of Carlingford Rd and Green Lanes, departing at 9:15am. We will ride down to Bank (Cornhill) from where you can join the car-free route around central London.

You are welcome to make your own way home, or to join our ride back from Bank (Cornhill) – meeting at 2:30pm and departing at 2:45pm.

More information:
In central London, the seven-mile route will take you on a journey through some of London’s most famous locations, from St Paul’s Cathedral and Somerset House to world-famous Buckingham Palace and The Mall. You can do as many loops as you like, and you’ll have the chance to hop on and off at various places, should you wish. As well as enjoying a great day of cycling, you’ll be able to take a break from your bike and try free fun activities for all the family along the route. The event includes two Festival Zones at Aldwych and St Paul’s along with the RideLondon HUB at Trafalgar Square, where riders can stop for mechanical help, food, drink and fun activities.

Volunteer to marshal this ride: We need volunteer marshals on all the feeder rides. Experienced trained marshals will support you and show you the ropes. It can be a lot of fun and a great way to get to know cyclists active in your area. To volunteer, email mike.mcsherry@lcc.org.uk with the name of the borough you’d like to volunteer with. There are also training opportunies here.
