A leisurely bike ride for all.
Meet at Brook Green W6 7BD, beside the tennis courts from 9:45 am for an 10:00 am cycle briefing.
This is an easy social bike ride of about 7 miles. We will be riding at a leisurely slow pace of approximately 9-10 m/h. Great for any fitness level. Mostly paved surfaces. Suitable for all skill levels.
We will visit the Chiswick House and Gardens. Chiswick House is among the most glorious examples of 18th-century British architecture and makes a fascinating day out in West London. The 3ird Earl of Burlington, who designed this noble Roman-style Palladian villa, drew inspiration from his Grand Tours of Italy. At Chiswick House you can buy fresh vegetables produced by volunteers in the gardens of the estate.
Our first stop will be The Mosaic House in Chiswick. The Mosaic House is the home of Carrie Reichardt, which can be found in Chiswick, London. This epic undertaking started on the back wall in honour of Luis Ramirez, with a final push in 2017 to complete the house. It features some of the world’s best mosaic artists and was made possible by many people, over many years, with each section telling a story.
We will stop for refreshments at Chiswick House.
We expect to be back at Brook Green at about 2 pm.
Join us for another joyful ride in the company of like-minded people.
