Bike Ride from Hammersmith to Serpentine Gallery and back
This is an easy-going ride for beginners, less confident riders, families with children, or if you just want to have a slow leisure ride.
Easy bike ride. Great for any fitness level. Mostly paved surfaces. Suitable for all skill levels. This is a short ride of 6 miles. Find how to go to Hyde Park by bike without cycling via Kensington High Street. We will ride at a slow leisurely pace, approximately 5-7 m/h.
We will ride to Serpentine South Gallery to visit an exhibition Suspended States by Yinka Shonibare CBE. “Suspended States addresses the suspension of boundaries, whether psychological, physical, or geographical — all boundaries of nationhood are in a state of suspense. This is an exhibition in which Western iconography is reimagined and interrogated, at a moment in history when Nationalism, protectionism and hostility towards foreigners is on the rise.” – Yinka Shonibare CBE
The event is FREE. Pre-booking is required. Please book for 11:00 . Book here.
Departure is from Brook Green, Hammersmith W6 7BD. We meet by the tennis courts next to Dunsanny Road. Please arrive by 9:50 am as we will depart at 10:00 am
