Islington Evening Ride: Friday Sep 12: Greenwich

Join Cycle Islington for one of our LED (at own risk, not marshalled) popular social Evening Rides. Remember your good LIGHTS.
From Islington Town Hall Fri 12 September, 18:30: approx 40Km/4 Hours
Experienced cyclists ( over 18) only please.
The route whilst avoiding main traffic as much as possible has mixed surfaces, including narrow dark dirt tracks, and cobbles.
The route (subject to change) will take us out East through Victoria Park and along the Greenway (Thames Water Permitting) before turning south to Excel, skirting City Airport and crossing the thames by the Woolwich Ferry. (passports not mandatory)
From there we shall follow the meandering Thames Path, past the Thames Barrier and O2 stopping for refreshments, overlooking the river, just before Greenwich
From there through (past/around?) the Royal Navel College, crossing the prime meridian, and past Cutty Sark before following the river and cycleway 14 route back to Blackfriars and Cycleway 6 back home.
