Another of our London Explorer rides but longer than usual. But still an easy paced raced suitable for most although it is much longer than our usual London Explorer at around 45 miles! So bear that in mind. As its going to be at an easy pace, anyone with a reasonable level of fitness who rides regularly in London should be fine. Feel free to contact me and discuss if youre not sure.
We meet at Le Delice cafe in Ladywell. Please be there at 9.50am in time for a quick briefing so we can leave promptly at 10am. If you want coffee etc get there even earlier. I’ll most likely be there from 9.15am having my breakfast.
Heading out via Battersea Park and the south side of the river, then crossing over a couple of times to Kew and Marble Hill and then to Bushy Park. We will have a lunch break here. I’ll picnic but there is a cafe and a coffee kiosk.
Then back via Richmond Park, Hammersmith Bridge and eastwards along the northern side of the Thames, Vauxhall Bridge and the familiar route back to SE land via Kennington and Burgess Parks.
I will send an email out nearer the time with final route and any last minute bits of information. It is possible to take a train back at certain points, but you’d need to research the details yourself, bearing in mind the return heads out via Richmond Park. There are several stations around Bushy Park, Hampton Court, Teddington, Kingston are all very close and I believe head into Waterloo. If you think you’d struggle with the distance this would cut the ride in half to just over twenty miles.
Read our general ride info and if you still have questions, text me and ask. I will get back to you pretty quickly. If you book a place and have to cancel, please text me and I can release your place to someone else.
