Lewisham Cyclists Ride to Leigh on Sea

44 miles – medium level due to the distance being ridden.

Option to get outbound train from Liverpool Street Station (Greater Anglia train) or get the Elizabeth line. Aim to arrive by 10am at Shenfield station (Essex).

Am hoping to have a quick stop at the Hanningfield Reservoir cafe, followed by lunch at The Shepherd & Dog (Ballards Gore, mile 25).

Final stop – if the weather is as lovely as hoped – will be stopping in Old Leigh for a drink and maybe food at the end of the ride. That final stop is optional of course, so you can head straight off if you wish to.

Remember to bring weather appropriate clothes, suncream, enough snacks/drinks, spare inner tubes etc, to make this an enjoyable ride.
