Lewisham Cyclists Ride to Whitstable

June 1 @ 8:00 am

Ride starts from Swanley station at 8.35 and heads out to Whitstable. There is a train from Catford to Swanley at just after 8.07 , which we’ll use to avoid the busy inner London section of the journey. Trains return from Whitstable at 28 minutes past the hour.

The ride out goes via Fawkham and Snodland then heads east south of the M2 over St Peter’s Bridge to Detling then further east to Hollingbourne, up and then north to Faversham and Whitstable. Time for refreshments and a paddle before heading to the station for a train back to London.

About 60 miles, some hills. Hollingbourne is the toughest, but it’s less hilly than the Hastings ride overall. A couple of short bits of busier road but mostly on lovely quiet lanes. Classified hard due to distance and over 1000m climbing. Bring snacks and water. We will stop for lunch in Hollingbourne , but that’s way into the ride and we will have some roadside snack stops

If you book a place and find you can’t make it please text the ride leader to cancel. We can then offer your place to someone else. Also, read our general ride info on our website nhere
Still have questions? Then text Rides Coordinator 07395153782

NB. We do sometimes have to make changes to rides and destinations. We will always email you beforehand as soon as we can to inform you if so.
