Lewisham Cyclists Ride to Herne Hill Velodrome International Womens Day Event

London explorer ride Saturday March 8th
Burgess Park and Herne Hill velodrome.
This is a ride to the International Women’s Day festival at the velodrome at Herne Hill. It starts by Ladywell station outside Le Delice cafe, ends at Herne Hill Velodrome. The route takes a long way round via Burgess Park, and though it ends at the velodrome, there is an optional direct return ride to Ladywell via Peckham Rye Park, leaving the velodrome after enjoying events at the International Women’s Day festival. This is not a women-only ride, despite the date.
The route follows quieter roads and bike paths, avoiding major routes and junctions where possible, but riders need to be road-confident cyclists, see: https://lewishamcyclists.org.uk/rides/family-rides/

Distance: 8 or 11 miles, but several hills, notably Denmark Hill.
