March Family Ride in Bexley

Join us on Sunday 30th Martch 2025 at 2.00 pm for a free bike ride, a loop starting at Sidcup Leisure Centre Car Park and going through Danson Park.
This is a gently-paced, 7 mile ride accompanied by experienced LCC members, suitable for riders of all ages. Please note: all children must be accompanied by an adult. The ride will be mainly through parks and on quiet roads. Please wear clothing suitable for the weather and bring a snack and water.
About LCC rides.
LCC groups run rides at aimed at different levels: Beginner, Beginner Plus, Intermediate, Advanced.
This ride is Beginner Plus, so you can expect the following things on the ride:
Level: Beginners plus
Distance: 6-8 miles
Conditions may include: off road, or on fully protected cycle lanes, LTNs and short sections of busier roads, preferably with separation
Conditions exclude: Longer stretches of busier roads, complex junctions (unless mitigated by walking)
Aimed at: People who are getting confident on beginners rides and just want to cycle a bit further or for stronger beginners.
Pace: Approximately 5-8 mph
Duration: Circa 90-120 minutes including a coffee break/rest

Helmet if people wish to wear oneSpare inner tube if on own bike (if you don’t have a spare that’s ok, try and buy one before the next ride)Water / snacksGloves in winterSunscreen in summerAppropriate clothing for the weatherMoney / card in case they want to buy something and for emergenciesLock if on own bike (a lot of people don’t bring locks but important if you go somewhere where you need to lock bikes up for example a museum visit or similar)
