Merton CC Winter Solstice Ride

We’re going to take a gentle roll to Oaks Park in Carshalton where we’ll pause for coffee and then head back, pretty much along the same route. Most of the distance will be on Wandle Trail and traffic-free where possible, although there will be some sections of road. In other words, you need to be ready for anything! The Wandle can be lovely in winter, with the bare trees afforing the best views and light mist sitting on the water. Bring your camera.

It’s about 8 miles each way and we’ll be going at a gentle pace, so suitable for everyone except unsupervised under 16s.

We’ll return to The Sultan at the end where there’ll doubtless be a few people in need of light refreshment.
