Merton Cycling Campaign Solstice Ride

Join us for a gentle pootle to the terrace opposite The Roebuck in Richmond to watch the sunset over the Thames Valley. This is a hilly ride so be prepared for some climbing (and descending). We cycle back through Richmond Park in the dark so you will need to bring lights powerful enough to illuminate the road in front of you. Bring your own food and drink or rely on what’s available at The Roebuck – up to you.

We’ll leave at 7.30pm sharp from outside Wimbledon Station. Keep your eye on the weather forecast and bear in mind that we stand around waiting for the sunset for about an hour, so an extra layer will be useful.

It’s a late return on a school night with an after dark section, so probably not a family ride.
