Merton Cyclists – 21 June 2023, Summer Solstice Ride (7pm)
A summer solstice ride is being organised by the Merton group of LCC (London Cycling Campaign). Starting from infront of Wimbledon statioon, we will ride to the Roebuck pub (just outside the Richmond Gate exit of Richmond Park) to enjoy the view over the Thames, and a drink, and will return through Richmond Park round about 9:30/10pm. If you would like to come along, please register, and we will keep you posted with further information.
The ride will gather infront of Wimbledon station and leave at 7:30pm. The distance too and from Wimbledon station is about 15 miles, with a mixture of easy off road and on road across Wimbledon Common and Putney Heath. Your bike needs to be in good working order (tyres pumped up; brakes functioning; and lights working). The return ride will be at dusk / dark, so lights are essential.
