New Years Day Parade Ride

Very steady 30 miler to clear the cob-webs and greet 2013. ALMOST NO HILLS. Ride leader - John Wood.
We will meet atBROMLEY SOUTH at 0930and then cycle through the quiet roads of Catford, Lewisham and Greenwich to and through (on foot) the Greenwich foot tunnel. We will have a quick coffee here either at the rather interesting and louche Hubbub Cafe on the Isle of Dogs or somewhere nearby. Then along the Cycle Super Highway 3 and through the quiet roads of the deserted City of London to Trafalgar Square where we will watch theNew Years Day Paradefor a while and have some lunch. The return toBromleySouth is through the refurbished and very pleasant Burgess Park, the Surrey Canal Towpath, Peckham Rye and the Waterlink Way. Probably a further stop at theRye Cafe.
Return toBROMLEY SOUTH by 1700ish
Points of interest we will pass: Cutty Sark, Canary Wharf, DLR, Tower of London, the Bank of England, the wobbly bridge, Tower Bridge, St. Pauls Cathedral, the Old Bailey, Faraday School, South Bank, Peckham Peace Wall.
Bring: warm clothes, waterproofs, lights, spare inner tubes x 2, tools to get your wheels off.
