A gently paced 30 mile return ride through East London to the Thames-side RSPB reserve at Rainham Marshes. Suitable for all riders. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Our rides are sociable and no-one should feel under any pressure to keep up. If the idea of 30 miles seems too far, why not give it a try? We want to encourage novices and returners to cycling to explore what they can achieve and enjoy the freedom of cycling. There is no better way to travel in and around London. We avoid main roads as far as possible. The ride is marshalled throughout.
Please feel free to bring your own refreshments. The RSPB cafe at the reserve has closed, although we will pause at the National Trust cafe at Rainham Hall if you’d prefer to buy enroute. A bike with well inflated tyres, working brakes and a rider with determination and a reasonable level of fitness is all that is required. To reserve a place please use the RSVP button below.
