Redbridge to the City of London

Sunday October 5 2025 @ 9:30 am

Our rides often pass through the City of London, so for this ride, possibly the last of 2025, we will stop and visit some interesting places within the City. We will visit a variety of places of historic interest and importance within the Square Mile and find out a little about each of them. This should be a fun day where we can all share our knowledge of The City and the History of London. We will travel at a gentle pace on quiet roads and cycle paths, avoiding main roads. The route to the City and the return to Wanstead Park will be different. Children are welcome and must be accompanied by an adult. This is an ideal ride for anyone trying to build confidence to cycle further.

If you would like to start from another part of the Borough please email rides@redbridgecycling.org and we will try and accommodate. To join the start of the ride in Wanstead Park it is a simple ride from Manor Park Station on the Elizabeth Line.

Bikes must be in good working order with well inflated tyres and brakes that work. We recommend that you carry a spare inner tube for your wheel size. Marshals will help you if you encounter any minor mechanical problems. We recommend bringing a picnic lunch for this ride as cafes in the City at weekends are often closed. We should be back well before dark, but as the nights draw in, it is time to start thinking about having lights with you on any ride in case you are delayed.

To book a place, please use the RSVP button below and complete relevant details.
