Redbridge to Walthamstow Wetlands
A family friendly ride to give families confidence to explore on bikes, and for novices wishing to gain more confidence as they return to cycling. Our rides are gently paced and we ensure no-one gets left behind. It is always a good idea to ensure your bike is in good working order with efficient brakes and well inflated tyres. You can always contact us for advice.
This ride will start from Wanstead Park, but if you would like to start from anywhere else in the Borough, please get in contact and we will help you to join us in Wanstead Park. If you have any interest in bird watching this ride might interest you. Bring your binoculars! Let’s see how many species we can identify. During the winter we did this ride and identified 10 different bird species. It would be a challenge to do this in June, but I wonder how many we might see?
The Wetlands have a cafe. It also has a range of picnic spots, so feel free to bring your own lunch. If the weather is good we should have time to stop at a child friendly area in the Olympic Park on our way back. A lovely day out for everyone.
