Shadwell, Mudchute Farm, Cody Dock, Hackney Marshes, Clissold Park, Whitechapel
Sunday 9th March, an East End ride from Shadwell Station, returning to Croydon from Whitechapel Station. This ride takes us to the docks in the Isle of Dogs and Mudchute Farm then beside the Thames and the Lea to Hackney and lunch in Clapton. Then around Clissold Park and back via Spitalfields to our train.
If coming from Croydon meet at West Croydon station platform 1 at 10:10 for the 10:18 to Shadwell. If starting at Shadwell Station meet at 10:55. It is the Shadwell Overground station, not the DLR.
It is 20 miles, about 2h 40m riding time. Allowing half an hour for pauses in Mudchute Farm or Cody Dock and an hour for lunch, we should reach Whitechapel Station where the ride ends at 15:10.
Bring a strong lock to park for the lunch stop. Please bring a spare inner tube.
