Simon Yates Mountaineering adventures

Internationally acclaimed mountaineer Simon Yates is one of Britain’s mostaccomplished exploratory mountaineers, best known for his role in JoeSimpson’s book and film, ‘Touching the Void’ - the true story of Simpson'saccident in the Peruvian Andes, and Yates's attempt to rescue him.
Simon’s climbing and travelling has taken him from Alaska to Australia, andfrom the Canadian Arctic to the tip of South America.

Simon has written 3 books - all shortlisted for mountain literature prizes. Inhis latest book, he relates his own experience of the commercialisation ofmountain wilderness,
