On Sunday the 12th May there will be a ride, only a little beside a river but through lots of parks. We will start and end at Queens Gardens CR0 1GY, ride through the parks to Waterlink Way and then Peckham Rye, Dulwich Common, Herne Hill Market for lunch and browsing, Brockwell Park, etc, etc including Streatham Common Rookery and back to Queens Gardens.
Maybe bring a backpack or pannier bag if you might buy goodies in the market. It is quite a big market, a food and craft market, not the trad fruit&veg. There’s quite a choice of cafes with outdoor seating and I’ll narrow that down beforehand to a recommendation on the day.
Have a look

There is a bit of gravel or slightly rough path. Not much but I recommend this ride for bikes with tires of 28 mm or wider. Please bring a spare inner tube.
There is about 3 hours in the saddle and so 4 1/2 to 5 hours when stops are included. The distance is 24 miles.
Meet at Queens Gardens, CR0 1GY opposite Fairfield Halls for a 10am start. We return probably by 3pm.
