Belgravia and Pimlico Family Cycle Saturdays is on the 3rd Saturday of every month at Eccleston Yards and has three free activities for anyone to join.
Eccleston Yard is a friendly space in the heart of Victoria with cafes, restaurants and toilet facilities.
1. Easy Family Bike Ride, 10:30am
Each month there is a family bike ride led by one of our instructors. This will be a safe and social and fun ride around Westminster and a great way to learn new routes and have an active start to the weekend. These are led by one of our instructors with marshal support from local volunteers. These are aimed at families with kids and also adults who want to learn new routes in the neighbourhood and get more confidence. You need to bring your own bike to join in. Bring a coat, a drink and some snacks – or some money to buy something when we stop. Please register everyone attending below.
2. Dr Bike mechanic, 10:15am-12:30
A bike mechanic will be available to check your bike before setting off on the family ride and for people to get their bike checked. Bring your bike for a quick check-over and for simple fixes like breaks, punctures and gear tuning. They will also be able to offer advice on your bike maintenance. Please register below. 10:15-12:45 (last bike at 12:30)
3. Level 2 & Level 3 cycle skills sessions for Cycle Buddies 10:30am-12:30pm
A qualified cycling instructor will be giving a 3-to-1 cycle session on how to ride confidently on quiet roads (level 2) and busier roads including sharing space with large vehicles and buses (level 3). This is aimed at Cycle Buddies volunteers and for people who would like to help marshal the family rides.
