The William Morris Gallery and Walthamstow Wetlands.
Our first scheduled ride of 2025 is to The William Morris Gallery and the Walthamstow Wetlands. Enjoy a day out on the bike with the family and a group of friendly cyclists? Our ride will go through Walthamstow Village and to Lloyd Park where there will be time for refreshment, to enjoy the children’s play area or to view the William Morris Gallery. Afterwards we will ride on to the Walthamstow Wetlands. There we will have another refreshment opportunity and a quick view over the reservoirs to see if we can identify any birds. Do bring binoculars if you are interested in bird watching. Return will be via the Olympic Park. We should be back at Wanstead Park between 3.00pm and 4.00pm
Start at 10.00 at Wanstead Park Tea Hut. Our rides are gently paced and marshalled throughout. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Total distance around 15 miles / 25km. The ride is suitable for all ages, abilities and cycle styles. Many of us will bring our own refreshments, although there are good cafes enroute.
