Tour de Hillingdon

Volunteers in Hillingdon we will once again be taking riders out on the “Tour de Hillingdon” a leisure ride that is a 30 km loop of the borough starting from and ending at Uxbridge Civic Centre. At a leisurely pace the route should be complete in around 3 hours including short breaks throughout the route. We will pass through the many green spaces in Hillingdon and through or near a variety of local highlights including:
- Brunel University
- Little Britain Lake
- Stockley Country Park
- Barra Hall Park
- The Polish War Memorial
- Highgrove Woods
- Swakeleys Park
- The Battle of Britain Bunker
If you don’t feel confident in completing the full circuit, why not ride the first few kilometres? Or as the ride is in sections if you prefer you can join us at a different starting point and cycle a single section only. Please let us know when booking if this is the case.
Timings are as follows, but will inevitably vary slightly on the day, according to the ages and abilities of participants.
- 10:00 Civic Centre, Uxbridge
- 10:20 High Road, Cowley
- 10:34 Horton Bridge Road, West Drayton
- 10:55 Barra Hall Circus, Hayes
- 11:28 Golden Bridge, Charville
- 11:35 Polish War Memorial, South Ruislip
- 12:07 Warrender Park, Ruislip
- 12:20 Manor Farm, Ruislip
- 12:37 Swakeley’s Park, Ickenham
- 13:03 Civic Centre, Uxbridge
Note this is a family friendly ride, but given the distances, might not be suitable for younger children. The route includes some gravel paths and bridleways which can get muddy so bear that in mind also. You are advised to bring some snacks or sandwiches and of course water to keep hydrated.
We were overwhelmed by the popularity of this ride and the feedback we received last time out so please book early to avoid disappointment!
