Wanstead Park to Olympic Park

This will be our final family ride of 2024. A gently paced ride of just 10 miles to the Olympic Park. Our rides are marshalled and sociable. No-one needs to feel they can’t keep up. Families will find plenty of playground activities for children in the Park and we will have time to explore some of the iconic venues. Depending on the events being held on the day, we hope to visit the velodrome and view the swimming pool. We will see the Stadium, the ArcelorMittal Orbit, Copper Box and the surrounding parkland. The ride is suitable for all ages and abilities. It is an ideal ride for families who want their children to get used to riding on the roads. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Bikes need to be in roadworthy condition with well inflated tyres. We will always do our best to deal with minor repairs on route, but it does help if you bring a spare inner tube for your wheel size.

There are cafes in the park, but if the weather is good most of us will bring their own picnic lunch. To book places, please use the RSVP button below and complete the relevant details.
