This will be our last long ride of the year. We ran this ride earlier in the year and it has been requested again. Our rides are sociable and at a gentle pace. We will cover 50 miles in total and head west past a number of iconic sights including Buckingham Palace and Hyde Park. The route is primarily on minor roads, cycle paths and parks, but will inevitably encounter some traffic. The climb over Richmond Hill is always of interest and should not put you off. Once in Richmond there will be time to enjoy the cafe under Richmond Bridge or to eat your own picnic. This riverside location is very popular and can be busy if the weather is good. Children capable of riding 50 miles at a reasonable pace are welcome, but must be accompanied by an adult.
The option to return to Stratford or other locations in East London by train, should be available via the Overground or District Line. (If you intend to use this option please check trains are running nearer the time). Our return route varies a little, coming past Westminster and along the Embankment to Tower Bridge.
Please ensure you are prepared for the 50 miles and that your bike is in good roadworthy condition. If you book a place and then find you cannot make it, please advise us by email as soon as possible. To book a place on the ride please use the RSVP button below and provide the relevant details. We look forward to seeing you.
