Wanstead Park, Valentines and Fairlop to Hainault Forest

A family friendly ride through Redbridge to a fabulous Country Park with a Woodland Trust display, city farm and cafes, as well as woodland walks. We shall set off from Wanstead Park tea hut at 11.00. We will join riders from Valentines Mansion at 11.20 and from Fairlop Waters at midday. We should be at the Hainault Country Park before 1.00pm. If the weather is good there will be time to explore the Country Park, or just enjoy a relaxed picnic or cafe lunch – your choice. We will leave the Country Park at the latest by 3.00pm. (Earlier if the weather is bad.) Returning to all destinations, well before 5.00pm.

We encourage novice riders, families and returners to use these rides to gain confidence and more riding experience. The ride will be marshalled and follow minor roads and cycle paths wherever possible. The ride is suitable for all bikes and rider abilities. We encourage families, novices and returners to join these rides to build up their confidence and experience on the road, whilst being guided and supported by our marshal team.
