Wanstead Park – Woolwich Ferry – Tower Bridge, Circular Ride.

On Saturday 29th March we will ride from Wanstead Park through Barking to the Woolwich Ferry. We will cross the River Thames, hopefully on the Woolwich Ferry. Please have a travel/oyster card with you in case we have to use the DLR. We will cycle the South Bank of the Thames through Greenwich to Tower Bridge. Cycling across Tower Bridge is always an iconic moment on this ride. We will return on the north side of the river to our starting point. Total distance will be 30 miles. Bring your own refreshments, although there will be cafe stops if you prefer.
The ride is suitable for all bike styles and rider abilities. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Only parents can decide how appropriate this distance would be for their child(ren). If you have never ridden 30 miles before, give it a try. Well inflated tyres and carrying a spare inner tube for your bike, always helps. We will travel at a gentle pace, comfortable for everyone. No-one will be left behind. The ride will be marshalled. There are plenty of points of interest en route. Numbers on this ride have to be limited. If the ride is full, please email rides@redbridgecycling.org to be placed on a reserve list.
