Waterlink Way, Deptford, Peckham Rye Loop

A ride on the C21 following the Waterlink Way through lots of greenspaces; South Norwood Country Park to Sydenham up to Deptford and on the C10 & C35 to Peckham. We’ll then go through atmospheric Nunhead Cemetery to Peckham Rye Park, break for lunch before re-joining the original trail at Catford back towards Croydon.
Start at 10am at Queens Gardens CR0 1GY or 10:10 at East India Way CR0 6RZ at the entrance to Addiscombe Railway Park, finishing about 3-3:30pm back at Croydon.
This ride is 29 miles but has an escape at Honor Oak Park Station on the Overground to West Croydon. We ride right past that at the 20 mile mark.
A road bike will be good for this but not one with very narrow tyres because of gravel paths in South Norwood Country Park and some but less so in Nunhead Cemetery. 28mm is ok. Folding bikes are fine.
Bring a water bottle! Please bring a spare inner tube.
Please note this ride by Croydon Social Cycling Group is for those aged 16 or over only.
