Addiscombe CC was formed in 1929 and is one of the UK’s longest established cycling clubs. They offer a wide range of cycling disciplines and activities to their members, including club rides, road racing, time trials, cyclocross and MTB rides.
Anerley Bicycle Club meets at Shurgard on the Brighton Road near Purley Oaks. The club has a rich history being active continuously since 1881. The club offers a wide range of rides into Surrey Sussex and Kent, typically around 40-50 miles, 12 mph is their most popular speed. Members tour and take part in sportives, audaxes and other similar events.
Founded in 1937, CLOG (Central London Outdoor Group) is a friendly group for Londoners who love cycling and walking. They have around 300 members and welcome adults of any age over 18;currently most of us are over 40. The annual subscription is £10 for new members and £15 for standard renewals.
The cycle rides are at a leisurely pace in small groups, mostly on quiet roads and traffic-free trails, covering between 20 and 35 miles. They also have walks, social events and trips away including cycle touring.

Cycle Club London are passionate about cycling and sharing their enthusiasm. They’re known for being friendly, inclusive and welcoming.
They organise a selection of club rides every weekend, departing from North London, to suit all abilities. During the week they meet at Regent’s Park for training sessions or just chatting to while away the laps. They also organise regular trips away. Find them on Facebook here.
Cycling Club Hackney is dedicated to promoting cycling and cycle sport for all levels and ages. The main club rides run every Sunday, where members and newcomers meet and socialise. They have an active youth section catering for young people between the ages 8 and 18, as well as senior and women’s representation. Their popular circuit race series the CC Hackney Primaveras runs every spring at Lea Valley Velopark, and they also organise and run men’s and women’s road races.
Dirty Wknd is a London based community and club for predominantly new and beginner cyclists who are looking to learn, explore and meet more cyclists in their area. They run weekly guided group rides, trips away in the UK and abroad along with regular social events. They are a very social group with the majority of rides involving a coffee and cake stop and a pizza/beer finale.
Dulwich Paragon is a friendly cycling club in south-east London. They have a proud racing heritage, competing across multiple disciplines. But you don’t have to be a racer! They’re an inclusive bunch, and host sociable weekly club runs that take riders of all paces into the beautiful lanes of Kent and Surrey.
Eltham Velo are a non-political cycling club riding from Avery Hill park in Eltham. They organise Sunday morning rides into the Kent countryside of between 30 and 50 miles.

Islington Cycling Club is a friendly and diverse North London cycling club. They offer a wide range of rides, including numerous weekly club rides, training rides, club and open events, and cycling trips.
LDN RIDERS is an inclusive LGBT road cycling club. An opportunity to socialise and meet like-minded members of the community who share your passion for two wheels!
They cater for all abilities and organise rides from London most weekends. They also hold weekly training rides, charity rides, sportives and tours across the UK and internationally.
Lea Valley CC was set up in 1969 by the amalgamation of the Crescent Wheelers CC and the Comet CC.
Lea Valley Cycling Club runs a number of events throughout the year, as well as weekly club rides and their club members are active in races and time trials.
The London Clarion Cycle Club is an inclusive, friendly community of cyclists from all around London. Founded in May 1895, they are one of the capital’s oldest cycling clubs and take their motto “Fellowship is Life” from William Morris. In an effort to promote socialism, members cycle out to meetings and distribute literature while enjoying a glass of ale! They promote socialist, anti-fascist and feminist values while remaining collective and politically minded.
London Dynamo is a vibrant cycling club based in south west London and extending to the Surrey borders. Their rides will regularly take you into the lanes of the North Downs or out towards Windsor with their unofficial home being the 7 mile loop of Richmond Park.
London Phoenix are a group of London-based cyclists who run regular weekly road and gravel rides leaving from Whetstone, North London. While many just ride socially, they’re a club that love bike racing and are competitive at heart. They have members from across London racing road, MTB, cyclocross, time trials, track and Zwift.
The Redbridge Cycling Club has been based in this area since 1972 and welcomes new members. They are based and are working in partnership with Redbridge Cycling Centre at Hog Hill in Hainault, with many members from East London and around Essex, offering cycling activities for every type of cyclist. The rides available include weekly club rides, training rides and several events organised by the club.
Regent’s Park Rouleurs (RPR) gets together regularly for group training rides. These rides are generally fairly brisk. In terms of fitness level, roughly speaking, you should feel reasonably capable of sustaining 37-38kph solo at The Regent’s Park for sustained periods. Prior group riding experience is necessary as most rides are in groups riding in close proximity.
Trash Mile is a London Based Race Team & Cycle Club, racing road, crits, track, cross and MTB. They communicate to their members largely through Instagram.
Twickenham Cycling Club is an inclusive, welcoming, friendly, and well-established club. They are also a physical club, rather than just an internet entity, with a club room from where their rides begin and (naturally) where tea, cake, chat and laughter are served after Tuesday training rides.
The main weekly ride leaves on Saturdays 09.00 from All Hallows’ car park.
Velo Club Londres is a cycle racing club based in and around South East London for youths and adults.
They are the home club at Herne Hill Velodrome, taking a lead role in the venue’s survival.
They are particularly focused on track and road racing, as well as cyclo-cross in the winter.
Around half of their members are under 18: there’s a strong development focus at the club. Many current and previous members have excelled at national and international level and they also have one of the largest number of qualified coaches of any cycling club in the country.
Velociposse is a cycling club based in London. Their aim is to get more women and non-binary people into cycling, with inspiration, support and knowledge.

That sucks. Velociposse was formed to help change that statistic.
Velosport Cycling Club are a road cycling club based in Putney, South West London.
Whether you are new to road cycling and want to improve or a seasoned elite, Velosport Cycling Club offers a supportive and friendly environment in which to develop your riding. They encourage members to participate to Sunday ride, mid-week training session, long ride, Audax, sportives in the UK or Europe.
Originally founded in 1880, weno.cc is now reborn as a friendly local cycle club for adults of all ages and abilities in and around West Norwood in South London.
We hold regular rides going out towards Richmond or Regents Park, into the countryside of Kent and Surrey, or sometimes further afield.

Whilst we are bit less structured than most clubs, that seems to be part of our appeal. We are more of a social than speedy club. We tend to organise rides on a WhatsApp group depending on who’s available. But we offer one ‘intro’ ride on the first Sunday of each month, but often have 2 or 3 more rides through the month.
Willesden Cycling Club are a friendly, sociable cycling club based in West and North West London and the Denham, Chalfont area.
Whilst members are mostly interested in road cycling, club members take part in a wide range of cycling activities. They participate in cycle touring, audax and sportive events throughout the UK and overseas.
Formed in 1884, Woolwich CC are a cycling club based in South East London. Whether it’s racing, training or social rides, they are a club that has something for everyone.
Their members take part in a wide range of disciplines within cycling including circuit racing at venues such as Cyclopark and Lee Valley Velopark, long distance events, hill climbs, sportives and simply riding for leisure. Most of their members are based in South East London, but extend far into Kent and back into London. Woolwich CC is a club open to all.
