Family Ride to Fairlop Waters
May’s family ride will start from Wanstead Park Tea Hut at 11.30 am on the Sunday of the first May bank holiday weekend. The route will partly follow the C16 cycle path and be partly in parkland. Most of the ride is on flat ground, with some short gradients.
The lunch break will be near the café at Fairlop Waters, so buy lunch there or bring your own snack.
Our experienced marshals will be coming along to keep you safe at junctions. The pace will be slow, making the ride suitable for inexperienced cyclists, those nervous of cycling on roads and families with children.
Please make sure your bike is roadworthy and your tyres well inflated, and it’s a good idea to bring a spate inner tube. The total distance is about 10 miles and we expect to be back at Wanstead Park by about 3 pm.
