What do we want? Freedom to ride! Join hundreds of women and allies on a fun protest ride around iconic locations in Central London. On the Sunday before International Women’s Day, we’re calling on the Mayor for gender equality in cycling in London, where less than a third of bike trips are by women.
This will be a family-friendly led ride with plenty of marshals to keep everyone safe, going at a gentle pace for around 5 miles.
We will also be organising marshalled feeder rides from a range of boroughs across London to help people reach the start point safely. The exact start locations of these feeder rides will be confirmed nearer the time. If you would be interested in joining a feeder ride to cycle with others to the start point, please indicate this below and we will let you know if one becomes available near you.
We are also planning to have an all-female/non-binary ride marshal and lead team. If you would be interested in helping marshal the ride and keep everyone safe – particularly if you have never marshalled before – please let us know below and we’ll be in touch with more info and training opportunities.
The Women’s Freedom Ride exact time, start point and route will be announced nearer the time. Please save the date and register below and we will send you updates as details are confirmed.
