Wanstead Park to Walthamstow Wetlands
Start 10.30am at Wanstead Park Tea Hut for a slow paced, marshalled ride to the Walthamstow Wetlands. Total distance around 15 miles. Cafe stop en route. If you have any interest in birds and a pair of binoculars ,do bring them. We will have a quick look over the reservoirs and identify the birds. Depending on the weather, this may be a 2 or 10 minute stop. We will have longer to warm up/ dry out at the cafe in the wetlands. Bring your own food or buy at the cafe. The ride is suitable for families, novices and all style of bikes. This will be our first attempt at a winter ride so I look forward to seeing some of you who, during the summer, said you would like a winter ride!! Lights should not be necessary, but if you have them it always sensible to carry them at this time of year. We should be back at Wanstead Park before 3.00pm
